Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) uses perceptual, behavioural, and
communication techniques to make it easier for people to change their thoughts
and actions. It can be applied as a therapy for psychological disorders, including
phobias, depression, generalized anxiety disorders (GAD), and post-traumatic
stress disorders (PTSD). Applications of NLP can also be used to achieve work-oriented goals, such as improved productivity or job progression.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy
treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal
is to change patterns of thinking or behaviour that are behind people's difficulties,
and so change the way they feel.
